The Office of Information Technology works as a team to maintain the integrity and availability of computerized information systems by providing mutual, coordinated support regarding automation requirements for the Department of Labor & Industry.
Responsibility involves areas of end-user computing, office automation, microcomputer support,
mid-range computer support, custom software development and support, computer-related
training, research and evaluation of automation hardware and software
products, development, maintenance and documentation of information databases,
development, maintenance and documentation of the department websites,
and the operation and support of mainframe peripherals. Other services
include system purchase, integration and installation, information systems
analysis, design development and implementation, report generation, and
resolution of software and hardware problems and user training.
